Abstract: 

Medical education is an essential component of improving healthcare practices, teaching methods, and curricula to better serve patients. Research in medical education plays a vital role in advancing medical knowledge, influencing policy decisions, and promoting quality healthcare services. However, despite the significant potential for impact, medical education research often lacks visibility and may struggle to make an impact on policy or change. To increase the visibility and impact of medical education research, researchers must understand the importance of promoting their outputs to the widest possible audience. While publishing high-quality papers in scientific journals is crucial, it is only half of the journey toward achieving impact and citations in the future. The other half involves effectively advertising and disseminating publications using the proper “Research Tools”. The primary objective of this workshop is to equip medical researchers with actionable guidance to enhance the visibility and impact of their research in medical education. Through the effective utilization of “Research Tools”, researchers can significantly amplify their research's reach, leading to increased citations and greater influence.
